Kenneth Selner

Kenneth Michael Selner, age 74, of Foristell, Missouri died Wednesday, September 8, 2021 at his home surrounded by his family. Ken was born on March 12, 1947 in Antigo to the late Ludwig “Louis” and Ann (Zimmerman) Selner. Upon graduating from Antigo High School in 1965, Ken served in the US Army until 1968. On June 6, 1970 he was united in marriage to Sharon Rabe at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Polar. Ken and Sharon resided in Wausau and raised their family there. Ken worked in the banking industry for First American and People’s State Bank in Wausau, and People’s Bank in Elkhorn. He was a member of Living Lord Lutheran Church. Survivors in addition to his wife, Sharon, include his daughters: Tracie Lynn (Frank) Francone, Tia Marie (David) Gooding, son Travis (Lindsay) Selner, grandchildren: Abigail Selner, Avery Selner, Grayson Gooding, Asher Gooding, and a sister Judy Kolz. Ken was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers: John and Robert, a sister Jane Govek, and two brothers-in-law: Jim Kolz and John Govek Funeral services will be held on Saturday, September 18 at 11:00 AM at Calvary Lutheran Church. Vicar Jennifer Sosinski. Visitation will be from 10:00 AM until the service at the church. Interment will be in Polar Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials in Ken’s name may be given to a Veteran’s organization of your choice or The American Heart Association. Strasser-Roller Funeral Home is assisting the family.
