Laura Jean Zima

Laura Jean Zima, age 53, of Antigo died Saturday from complications due to COVID-19, December 11, 2021 at her home. Laura was born August 27, 1968 in Zion, IL to Deanna Jean (Morrill) Mabry and the late Estel John Mabry. Laura moved with her family to White Lake in 1978, where she graduated from White Lake High School in 1986. On September 20, 1997 she was united in marriage to Robert Warren Zima at Four Corners Assembly of God Church in White Lake. Laura worked at Fleet Farm and later as a receptionist at Aspirus Langlade Hospital for 20 years. She attended Four Corners Assembly of God Church. Laura was a talented scrapbooker and crafter. She enjoyed making creations for her family, friends, and the church. Christmas was her favorite holiday and time of year. She made delicious fudge and toffee for friends, family, and co-workers. She also enjoyed trips to New York city during the Christmas season and trips to Las Vegas. Her family meant the world to her, and she loved them dearly. In addition to her husband and mother, Laura is survived by a daughter Presley Zima of Antigo, a son Ryan Zima of Antigo, a brother John (Theresa) Mabry of Marinette, her mother-in-law Gladys Zima, aunts and uncles: Larry and Jan Mabry, Dan Brown, Barb Adams, Connie DeGraff, and Shirley Thomas. In addition to her father, Laura was preceded in death by uncles: Bob Brown and Leon (Kathy) Mabry, aunts: Joann Spiers and Pat Steckbauer, and grandparents: Estel and Lillian Mabry. A visitation will be held on Thursday from 4:00 pm until 7:00 pm at Strasser-Roller Funeral Home and on Friday at the funeral home from noon until the service at the 1:00 pm. Reverend Mavin Kindle will officiate. Interment will be in Langlade Cemetery. Me too.
