Laverne June Bremer

Laverne June Bremer, age 85, formerly of Summit Lake died Wednesday, April 6, 2016 at Aspirus Langlade Hospital. Laverne was born on June 18, 1930 to the late Roy and Frieda (Mueller) Hendricksen in Milwaukee. On January 28, 1956 she was united in marriage to Richard Herbert Bremer in Milwaukee. Laverne worked for Allen Bradley in Milwaukee for many years. She was also a homemaker. The couple lived in Milwaukee for many years and upon Richard's retirement from the US Airforce in 1988 they moved to Summit Lake, where Richard spent his early years. Laverne was a member of St. Luke's Lutheran Church in Elcho where she was active with the Ladies Aid. Survivors in addition to her husband include a daughter Caroline Sawyers of Oklahoma City, OK, a son Richard Bremer II of Summit Lake, and a grandson Steven Bremer. Laverne was preceded in death by a sister Delores Plekus. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 am on Thursday, April 14th, 2016 at Strasser-Roller Funeral Home.
