Lea R. Goodhart of Antigo died Wednesday, November 29, 2017 at University of Wisconsin Hospital in Madison. She was born on June 21, 1934 in Milwaukee, a daughter of the late Bob Gibbs and Lillian (Morgan) Parchim. She was married to Harry Morris on January 21, 1950 and divorced in 1975. She was also married to Victor Nonweiller (divorced 1979), Lee Goodhart (died 1994), and Ron Berdan (died 2005). Lea worked throughout her life, including jobs in Milwaukee at Ziegler Candy Company, Master Lock, and Country Maid. She and Harry managed Victory Hall in Cudahy for several years. She was also employed at Wisconsin Telephone Company, starting in the company cafeteria in 1971, and in 1979 she retrained as a telephone operator and relocated to Albuquerque, NM. In 1997 she moved to Antigo to be closer to her daughters and family. Her hobbies included cooking, baking, card playing, and being with family and helping others. She enjoyed playing cribbage and participated in the cribbage club hosted by Antigo's Community Association of Retirees. She had a great sense of humor. Lea is survived by her 3 daughters, Kathy (dec. husband John) Joppich of Aniwa, Janice (Charles) Wetzel of Elcho, and Lisa Geldon of Antigo; 12 grandchildren, John (Becky) Joppich, Shelly (Keith) Igl, Jamie Tatro, Angela (David) Knuth, Natalie (Joel) Rasmussen, Max (Elizabeth Keen) Wetzel, Andrea (Eric) Roenning, Peter (Stephanie) Wetzel, Tracy (Bruce) Luedtke, Valerie (Matt) Parker, Amy (fiancé Shawn Widder) Hickey, and Micheal (Kristy) Geldon; 22 great grandchildren; 2 great-great grandchildren; and a sister in law, Joyce Gibbs. She was preceded in death by brothers Earl "Sonny" Gibbs, Robert Gibbs; and a sister, Joann Lee St. Albin. In accordance with her wishes, no services will take place at this time. A celebration of her life will take place on a later date in the spring.
