Leeota Tackett, age 97, of Antigo died Sunday at Eastview Medical and Rehabilitation center. Mrs. Tackett was born February 21, 1914 in Greenup County, Kentucky to the late John D. and Sarah Dorcas (Tipton) Eldridge.She married Thurman Tackett on October 15, 1930 at Four Corners Assembly of God Church in White Lake. Mr. Tackett preceded her in death on June 2, 1980.Mrs. Tackett was a homemaker and dairy farmed. She enjoyed handcrafts such as quilting, embroidery and jewelry making. Mrs Tackett also canned and was an avid doll collector and writer of poetry. She was a member of Four Corners Assembly of God Church in White Lake where she had been active as a Sunday School Teacher and a member of the Women's Missionary Council.Survivors include 4 daughters; Mary Klooz of Lansing, MI, Eileen Watson of Greenville, WI, LaVonn (Hubert) Bricco of Zion, IL, and Neomi "Jackie" Holbrook of White Lake; a son Herman (Laurie) Tackett of Antigo; 28 grandchildren; many great grandchildren and many great great grandchildren; a sister Lori (Gerald) Bohringer of White Lake and 2 brothers; Romeo (Pearl ) Eldridge of Antigo and David (Betty) Eldridge of White Lake.In addition to her husband and parents, Mrs. Tackett was preceded in death by son-in-laws; Carrol Wickersheim, Jack Klooz, William Watson, and Harold Holbrook; a daughter-in-law Mary Jane Tackett; a grand daughter; Rebecca; 4 grandsons; Mark, Timmy, Kevin, and Eli; a great grand daughter Amber Leslie; 7 sisters and 6 brothers.Funeral services will be held on Thursday at 11:00 AM at Four Corners Assembly of God Church in White Lake with her grandson Rev. Bradley Wickersheim officiating. Visitation will be Wednesday from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Strasser-Roller Funeral Home and Thursday from 10:00 AM until the service at the church. Interment will be in Bent Cemetery in Bryant.
