Lena Garnet Jenkins

Lena Garnet Jenkins, age 93, of Antigo died Saturday, February 7, 2015 at her home under the care of LeRoyer Hospice. Mrs. Jenkins was born April 1, 1921 to the late Ernest and Dora (Lewis) Combs in the Town of Evergreen. She married Clifford Jenkins on April 24, 1945 in Green Bay. He preceded her in death April 19, 1991. During World War II, Garnet worked in Green Bay and Milwaukee. She worked in anti- tank manufacturing. She returned to Antigo in 1945. In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by sisters, Catherine Nodurft, Emma Fultz, Burnice Hurt, Dorothy Wilson, Margaret Callander, Odessa Combs, Geneva James, brothers; William "Bill", Rondell, Gordon, and Garland Combs. A funeral service will be held on Monday, February 16, at 11:00 AM at Strasser-Roller Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 10:30 AM until the service Monday at the funeral home. Reverend Robert Newbury will officiate. Interment will be in Bent Cemetery.
