Lillie "Mickey" May Mcdougal

Lillie May “Mickey” McDougal, age 82, of Antigo died Saturday, September 18, 2021 at Aspirus Wausau Hospital. Mickey was born January 19, 1939 in Antigo to the late Guy and Dolly May (Townsend) Warren. Mickey was a graduate of Antigo High School class of 1957. During high school she worked at the Dixie Lunch. On August 3, 1957 she was united in marriage to Jack McDougal. She was a homemaker and hobby farmed with her husband. She also worked seasonally for her father-in-law, Roy McDougal, at his potato farm. For a brief period, Mickey worked at the Deerbrook Post Office. She was a member of Deerbrook Women’s Club and Deerbrook Bridge Runners Snowmobile Club. She enjoyed creating crafts that she sold at Ye Olde Craft Shop. She treasured her relationships and time spent with her grandchildren. She loved playing games with them. She also was passionate about teaching them knitting, sewing, making crafts and always had a fun project planned for them. She also enjoyed trout fishing with them on the river that flowed through the front yard. She was a faithful Christian and enjoyed listening and worshipping every Sunday with the Peace Lutheran Church Service on the radio. Survivors include a son Darrell (Ronda) McDougal of Antigo, a brother William (Patricia) Warren of Antigo, six grandchildren: Joseph McDougal of Burke, SD, Bradley (Michelle) McDougal of Antigo, Darron (Rebecca) McDougal of Brokaw, Clairissa (Andrew) Marshall of Gregory, SD, Marcus McDougal of Antigo, Laura McDougal of Antigo, and a great granddaughter Timber Grace Marshall. In addition to her husband and parents, Mickey was preceded in death by a sister Laura “Jan” Brendemuehl and a brother Charles “Chuck” Warren. Funeral services will be held on Monday, September 27th at 11:00 AM at Strasser-Roller Funeral Home. Reverend David Karolus will officiate. Visitation will be from 9:30 AM until the service at the funeral home. Interment will be in Elmwood Cemetery.
