Lloyd J. Larson

Lloyd J. Larson died in his home November 15, 2024. Lloyd was born in Ashland, Wisconsin on July 25, 1963. Lloyd graduated from Marshfield High in 1981 and continued his education at UW Stevens Point. Lloyd graduated in 1984 with a degree in electrical engineering. He was employed at Woodward Governor in Stevens Point until the company closed. He moved to Wolf River township and was employed by Motion Systems L.C. as an electrical /mechanical engineer. The company is involved with materials handling problems. Lloyd assembled conveyer handling systems. He enjoyed traveling throughout the United States for Motion Systems. After traveling he settled down and was employed at Robins, a commercial flooring manufacturing company.

Lloyd was certified in CPR and was a volunteer for the Wolf River Fire Department. Lloyd loved the outdoors, biking, kayaking, skiing, hunting and fishing with his buddies. He and his buddies from Bearpaw made bike trails through the Nicolet Forest. Lloyd was an Ironman and competed in many triathlons in several states. He winter camped in Colorado and Oregon, kayaked Lake Superior, camped on Governors Island but the Wolf River was his favorite place to kayak. Lloyd deer hunted near Hatfield with his step brother Jeff, Ice fished on White Lake with his brother Paul .


Lloyd is survived by his mother Karen Perington, his siter Peggy (Jerry) Armson, brother Scott, Stepbrother Jeff Perington and stepsister Denise Perington and many nieces and nephews.


He is preceded in death by his father Lloyd Larson, stepfather Bill Perington, his brother Paul and brother Mike. A celebration of life will be held on a later date.
