Loretta Summers

Loretta Kaye Summers of Elcho passed away on February 3, 2021 at her home under the care of her family. She was 79 years old. Loretta was born on August 26, 1941 in Chicago to the late Martin and Catherine (Hargas) Rasinski. On June 19, 1961, she was united in marriage to Bobbie Summers. He preceded her in death on January 1, 1984. Loretta worked as a lab technician, retiring from St. Joseph’s Hospital in Joliet, IL. After retirement, she moved to Elcho. She loved to travel, always by car and even solo. She also enjoyed walks and campfires with her dogs, family, grandchildren, and friends. Loretta is survived by her children; Daniel “Boone” (Vikki) Summers of Summit Lake and Dianne (Robert Schuett) Summers of Post Lake, brothers; Martin (Meg) Rasinski of Brookfield, CT and Tom (Mary) Rasinski of Ashburn, VA, and sister; Dianne (Jim) Kara of Oak Forest, IL. She was Nana to; Steven (Tanner Coonen) Summers of Richfield, MN, Daniel King of Gleason, Kayla (Eric) Gillett of Antigo, Jessica (Colin) Smith of Oakdale, MN Robert Schuett of Post Lake, Zachary (Morgon Schiebe) Schuett of Wausau, and Amanda Schuett of Elcho, and great grandchildren; Cassidy Leseberg, Isabella Gillett, and Oren Gillett. In addition to her parents and husband, Loretta was preceded in death by grandsons; Matthew King and Richard Leseberg. A memorial service for Loretta will take place on Monday, February 8, 2021 at 11:00 AM at Strasser-Roller Funeral Home with Father Charles Hoffmann officiating. Visitation will take place on Monday at the funeral home from 10:00-11:00 AM.
