Louise Francl

Louise Dala Francl, lifelong area resident, died Sunday, December 2, 2018 under the care of her family, LeRoyer Hospice, and Care Partners Assisted Living. She was 88 years old. She was born December 31, 1929 in Polar, daughter of the late Ernest and Bernice (Zager) Brandt. She married James Francl on Feb. 19, 1949 in Polar, and he preceded her in death on November 17, 2011. Mrs. Francl attended Highland Grade School. She was a homemaker, and dairy farmed in the Town of Ackley with her family for 63 years. She enjoyed canning, sewing, baking, and making candy at Christmas time. Survivors include a daughter, Cheryl (Glenn) Wrobleski of Waterford; 2 sons, Randy (Susan) Francl of Golden, CO, and James, Jr. (Barbara) Francl of Antigo; 7 grandchildren; and 22 great-grandchildren. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by an infant son, Donald; another son Paul Francl; a great- granddaughter, Samantha; and 2 sisters, Lois Wilson, and Luella Loduha. A funeral service will take place Friday at 11:00 a.m. at Strasser-Roller Funeral Home. Visitation will be 10:00-11:00 at the funeral home. Burial will take place at a later date at Elmwood Cemetery.
