Luanne Boettcher, age 68, of Antigo passed away December 16, 2024 at Aurora Bay Medical Center in Green Bay.
Luanne was born on August 8, 1956, a daughter of the late Gerald “Chum” Jr. and Doris (Below) Kryka.
She was a graduate of Antigo High School class of 1974.
On June 29, 1974, Luanne was united in marriage to Ronald Boettcher at St. Peter’s Lutheran Church.
In addition to being a homemaker, Luanne was employed at the Antigo Unified School District in food service for over 30 years and along with her husband Ron, she owned and operated Boettcher’s Bar.
Luanne was a member of St. Peter’s Lutheran Church in Polar.
She enjoyed camping and the outdoors, golfing, traveling, and fun times with her family and friends. Christmas was a favorite holiday for Luanne, and she loved the preparations for the holidays. She and Ron were also involved in the Langlade County Tavern League.
In addition to her husband Ron, Luanne is survived by 2 daughters; Amanda (Ryan) Spackman and Angella (Cliff) Coffee, a son Anthony “Tony” Boettcher, a sister Leah (Kevin) Marshall, 2 brothers; Mark (Margie) Kryka, Mike (Julie) Kryka, 2 grandchildren Ava and Everett Spackman, and many nieces and nephews.
A visitation will be held on January 3 at St. Peter’s Lutheran Church from 4:00 PM until 7:00 PM. A memorial service will be held Saturday, January 4 at 10:00 AM with visitation from 9:00 AM until the service at the church. Reverend Donald Engebretson will officiate. Interment will be in St. Peter’s Lutheran Church Cemetery.
