Lucille C. Rice

Lucille C. Rice of Deerbrook died Monday, June 11, 2012 at Kindred Healthcare – Eastview under the care of LeRoyer Hospice and her family. She was 84. She was born March 2, 1928 in Marshall, daughter of the late Emil and Helena (Busse) Fisch. She married Donald Rice on Sept. 26, 1953 in Marshall. Mr. Rice preceded her in death on Aug. 17, 2008. She worked as a restaurant cook, salesperson, owner/operator of the Windbreaker in Neva, and homemaker. She enjoyed traveling, playing cards, and bingo. She also enjoyed the company of her canine friends, Tako, Zowe, and Tia. Mrs. Rice is survived by a daughter, Tina (special friend) Dale DeBroux of Deerbrook; 2 sons, David (special friend Virginia) Rice of Hiles, and Terry (Paula) Spinhirne of Black Canyon City, AZ; a sister, Elizabeth Cooper of Fort Atkinson; 7 grandchildren, Heather, James, Rebecca, Lorraine, Lucinda, Lacy, and Matthew; and 13 great-grandchildren. In accordance with her wishes, no services will be held.
