Lucille E. Kolpack, age 97, of the Town of Polar, passed away peacefully on February 26, 2024 with her beloved husband of 76 years, Rueben, at her side.
Lucille was born on March 5, 1926 in Neva to the late Walter and Eleanor (Seidl) Rasch.
On May 24, 1947, Lucille was united in marriage to Rueben Kolpack at St. Peter’s Lutheran Church.
Lucille graduated from Milwaukee School of Beauty Culture in 1945. She worked at Marvin’s Beauty Shop in Wausau and Vogue beauty shop in Antigo. While raising her family she worked for local potato farms and cut pine boughs. She also tied flies for Sheldons, Inc.
A member of St. Peter’s Lutheran Church, Lucille enjoyed teaching Sunday School, was a member of the Ladies Aid, and the Altar Guild.
Lucille loved quilting, playing cards, dancing, baking, and being with her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Survivors in addition to her husband, Rueben, include four daughters; Diane (Dean) Borneman of Minocqua, Janet (Tim) Spurgeon of Antigo, Carolyn, (Neil) Munsell of Montana, Laurale (Jerry) Strasser of Antigo, two sons: Allen (Mary) Kolpack of Polar, Jim (Stephanie) Kolpack of Florida, 15 grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren, 2 great great grandchildren, and a sister-in-law Wanda Rasch of Minnesota.
Lucille was preceded in death by a brother Marvin Rasch and two grandsons: Chad and Michael Munsell, and a great granddaughter Cassie Borneman.
A funeral service will be held on Monday, March 4 at 11:00 AM at St. Peter’s Lutheran Church. Visitation will be at the church from 9:00 AM until the service. Reverend Donald Engebretson will officiate. Interment will be in St. Peter’s Lutheran Church Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorials gifts may be directed to St. Peter’s Lutheran Church.
