Lucy Cuellar

Lucille "Lucy" Cuellar, age 55, died Thursday, March 8, 2012 at University of Wisconsin Hospital in Madison. She was a resident of Antigo. She was born March 13, 1956 in Antigo, daughter of the late Martin and Rosemary (Resch) Koeppel. She married Trinidad "Trini" Cuellar, and he survives. Mrs. Cuellar was a 1974 graduate of Antigo High School, and later attended cosmetology school in Appleton. She was employed as a hairdresser. Mrs. Cuellar was a member of St. John Catholic Church. She enjoyed volunteering and helping others. In addition to her husband, she is survived by a son, Isaac Cuellar of Antigo; 2 stepchildren, Trinidad (Kathy) Cuellar of Deerbrook, and Annette Cuellar (Jim Ratajczak) of Gray's Lake, IL; 9 sisters, Pat (Ralph) Metko of Appleton, Theresa (Daniel) DeBroux of Phlox, Jo (Bob) Lomprey of Polar, Vicky (Jerome) Marx of Phlox, Tina Franczak of Appleton, Stella (Jim) Goedderz of Boca Raton, FL, Jane Koeppel (special friend Gene Waldvogel) of Appleton, Aggie (Steve) McCrory of Appleton, and Ruth (Tim) Tveten of Antigo; 3 brothers, Martin (Patty) Koeppel of Phlox, Albert (Anne) Koeppel of Barnville, GA, and Eric (Lisa) Koeppel of Appleton; 4 step grandchildren; 2 step great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and 2 sisters, Anne Braun and Frannie Koeppel. A memorial mass will take place at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday March 14 at St. John Catholic Church, with Fr. Charles Hoffmann officiating. Visitation will be 2-6 p.m. on Wednesday the church. A memorial will be established in her name. Strasser-Roller Funeral home is assisting the family.
