Marcella Raab

Marcella Theresa Raab age, 92, passed away Saturday, November 28, 2020 at Greentree Health and Rehab in Clintonville. Marcella was born on April 7, 1928 in Gleason, daughter of the late Karl and Theresa (Kluball) Kegler. On October 25, 1947 Marcella was united in marriage to Donald Raab at St. Wencel”s Catholic Church in Neva. He preceded her in death on March 28, 2013. Marcella attended SleepyHollow grade school. At age 14, Marcella was a nanny for Dr. and Mrs. Wm. Curran. She went on to work at Mcclellan”s Dime Store and the Antigo Shoe Factory. After marriage, she was a homemaker and farmed alongside Don on their dairy and potato farm in Deerbrook. Marcella and Don also owned and operated a milk route on which she drove the milk truck for 7 years. Upon retirement they moved to Neva Lake. She was a member of St. Wencel’s Catholic Church. Marcella was a fisherman and a deer hunter, tagging her last deer at age 85. She also enjoyed gardening, canning, cooking, and baking for family and friends, feeding a variety of birds, including hummingbirds, and playing card games. She loved family reunions and get-togethers. Her greatest joy came from being with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, leaving them with many treasured memories. Survivors include her daughter, Judy(Don) Ulik of Neosho; son, Jim(Kate) Raab of Deerbrook; sisters, Genny Borneman of Antigo and Eva(Joe) Novak of Clintonville; brothers, Matt(Everilda) Kegler of Salem, OR and Harold(Susan) Kegler of Fernandina, FL; sister-in-law, Phyllis Kegler of Antigo; 5 grandchildren, Chad(Kris) Ulik, Kellie(Jared) Burdick, Jennifer(Paul) Spencer, Nate(Kayla) Raab, Molly(Chris) Uhazie; 15 great-grandchildren, Monica Brown, Julia Ulik, Rebekah Ulik, Mia Ulik, Kyler Burdick, Kobi Burdick, Braydon Burdick, Taylor Spencer, Dylan Spencer, Zachary Spencer, Bentley Raab, Isaiah Raab, Everhett Raab, Clayton Uhazie, and Alice Uhazie. In addition to her parents and husband, Marcella was preceded in death by sisters, Pearl Gerdes and Muriel Parsons; brothers, Ernest Kegler, Kenneth Kegler, and Clifford Kegler; brothers-in-law, Julius Gerdes, Gordon Parsons, and Ralph Borneman; sister-in-law, Beverly Kegler. The family would like to extend a sincere and heartfelt thankyou to Jade Koeune NP, and to all the staff and caregivers at Greentree Health and Rehab for their compassionate care and love for Marcella. A funeral service for Marcella will take place on Saturday, December 5, 2020 at 12:00 PM at Strasser-Roller Funeral Home with Pastors Kellen Lewis and Steve Sandford officiating. A visitation will take place from 10:30 AM to 12:00 PM at the funeral home on Saturday. Burial will take place at St. Wencel’s Cemetery following the service.
