Margaret E. Brecklin

January 12, 1922 — December 23, 2009

Margaret E. Brecklin, 87 of town of Polar died today at her home under the care of her family and LeRoyer Hospice. Mrs. Brecklin was born in Richardson, North Dakota to the late Martin and Anna (Klemm) Lindemann. In her youth Margaret moved to Washington State. She graduated form Mary Cliff Catholic High School. On July 1, 1944 she married James Brecklin in Spokane, Washington. James preceded her in death on March 30, 1995. After marriage she and James moved to the Town of Polar where the dairy farmed. Mrs. Brecklin also worked as a cook for the Antigo Unified School District at Crestwood Elementary School, baked bread for the Antigo High School, and was employed at the Antigo Canning Company. She was a member of St. John Catholic Church.Margaret loved the outdoors, gardening, and holiday decorating inside and outside of her home. She was a wonderful baker and enjoyed sharing her baked goods with family, friends and neighbors. She loved time spent with her grandchildren.Survivors include two daughters, Marjorie and Mary Lou Brecklin, Town of Polar, four sons, Richard (Ann) Brecklin, Appleton, Robert (Mary Jane) Brecklin, St. Louis, MO, Charles (Sharon) Brecklin, Green Bay, WI, Pat (Beverly) Brecklin, Town of Polar; 10 grandchildren, and 5 great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.Her husband, parents, daughter, JoAnn, son Jimmy, sisters, Anna Helfried, Katie Schaff, Mary Pastian, Helen Sabo and Theresa Porterfield, and brothers, Martin, Jack and Frank preceded her in death.We will greatly miss Margaret, and hold dear our wonderful memories. Our greatest blessing this Christmas season is that Mom will be in her heavenly home.
