Marilyn J. Boyd, of Antigo and formerly of Milwaukee, died Wed. Dec. 2 at Langlade Hospital. She was 71 years old. She was born Dec. 28, 1937 in Milwaukee, daughter of Walter and Ferryle (Rice) Nelson. On Feb. 14, 1954 she married Alfred Eugene Boyd in Milwaukee. He preceded her in death on Aug. 23, 2005. Mrs. Boyd was a homemaker. She graduated from South Division High School. She raised her family in Milwaukee, and moved to Antigo 4 years ago. She loved life, enjoying shopping and riding motorcycles. She will be remembered as a happy, good-natured woman who truly loved her family.She is survived by her mother, Ferryle Nelson; 2 daughters, Vicki Dobratz (nee Boyd) of Antigo, and Katherine A. Boyd of Maricopa, AZ; a brother-in-law, Lyle Boyd of Antigo; nephews; nieces; and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, Alfred; father, Walter; brother, Richard; and son-in-law Scott Dobratz.
