Mark James Chrudimsky, age 50, of Merrill and formerly of Antigo, passed away Sunday, January 25, 2026 at Aspirus Wausau Hospital.
Mark was born on September 4, 1975 in Antigo to George “Butch” and Kathryn “Kathy” (Neigenfind) Chrudimsky.
Mark was a graduate of Antigo High School, class of 1993. He went on to further his education in information technology. He was employed at Kretz Lumber for over 30 years in IT and administration.
On October 7, 2023 Mark was united in marriage to David Schuelke, Jr at Agra Pavilion in Merrill.
Mark had a great enthusiasm for life. He was an amazing son, brother, friend, husband and stepfather. He loved nature, sitting around a campfire, and time with those he loved.
In 2005, Mark was faced with being diagnosed with a brain tumor. His journey became one of holding his head high, taking in all the good life had to offer and fighting the cancer with bravery and dignity. His circle of loving and supportive family and friends were everything to him and he had great appreciation for that support.
Survivors include his husband David Schuelke, Jr of Merrill, parents Kathy and Butch Chrudimsky of Antigo, brothers Steve (Kathy) Chrudimsky of Antigo, Matt (fiancé Chrissy Halidman and her children Gia and Ace) Chrudimsky of Appleton, stepchildren Preston, Ava, mother-in-law Iris Schuelke (Jeff) of Merrill and father-in-law David Schuelke, Sr of Merrill and many aunts, uncles, and cousins.
A memorial service will be held on Friday, January 30, 2026 at 5:00 PM at Strasser-Roller Funeral Home. Reverend Joel Danner will officiate. Visitation Friday at the funeral home from 2:00 PM until the service.
Mark had a beautiful soul, and we were blessed to know him and love him. He will remain in our hearts and minds, and the love will never end.
in lieu of flowers a memorial in Mark’s name will be established.
