Marna Jean Madeson

Marna Jean Madeson was born in Fairfield, Iowa in 1926. She was the only daughter of Henry and Marie Walters. Her early years held colorful stories of a close family and farm life. After graduation, she worked in Cedar Rapids where she was "swept off her feet" by Dale Madeson. They were married an impressive 62 years until Marna's death on August 13th, 2012. Her unquestionable source of pride and dedication was her family. Her 1st son, Rodney and his wife Diane shared close daily life with her in Antigo, with their daughters Rachel and Meagan. Her love extended to her 2nd son, Richard and his wife, Cheryl and their children Cory and Jessie. Marna's love and devotion to her family were immeasurable. She lived most of her adult life in Antigo, where she worked as a tax specialist for both H&R and Braun and Preboske for 20 years. Marna worked in Real Estate and did volunteer tax prep in later years. Leisure time was shared in knitting club, Elks, Lions, and with friends at Mayflower Lake and Evergreen Terrace. Funeral services will be held on Friday at 12:00 noon at Strasser-Roller Funeral Home. Reverend Debbie Pimm will officiate .Visitation will be on Friday from 10:00 until noon at the funeral home. Interment will be in Elmwood Cemetery.
