Martha Elaine Wills

Martha, known to many as "Elaine" went home to be with the Lord on December 30, 2013. Born on, June 30, 1919, in Jackson, Mississippi, Elaine was a member of Lowell Methodist Church while she lived in Jackson. As a member of the congregation Elaine served on many committees and taught Sunday school for a number of years. Mrs. Wills also was a member of the local Garden Club, Eastern Star and Exchange Club. Mrs. Wills spent 25 years as a buyer for McRae's clothing store and five years with Frances Peppers as a buyer and wedding consultant. In 1940, she married Ben Wills, Sr., he preceded her in death along with her son Dudley and a daughter in law Charlotte (Laymen) Wills. Elaine is survived by her son Ben (Shirl) Wills, Jr. (Darby, MT) and Daughter in law Toni Wills (Sylva, N.C.) grandson Johnny (Sharon) Wills (Lexington, KY) Granddaughter Elaine Phipps (Arlington, TX) and step grandson Jonathan Schulz (Iwakuni, Japan) and her five great-grandchildren, Hunter, Copper, and Marin Wills (Lexington, KY) Karleigh Elaine and Kaleb Blaine Phipps of (Arlington, TX). Graveside services will be held for Mrs. Wills on Saturday January 4, 2014, 1 PM at Lakewood Memorial Park, Jackson, MS, arrangements have been taken care of by Strasser Roller Funeral Home Antigo, WI. Memorials may be directed to the Breast Cancer Foundation.
