Mary Holbrook, age 81, of Antigo died Friday at Care Partners under the care of LeRoyer Hospice. Mary was born on March 27, 1932 to the late Lacy and Alice (Adkins) White in Langlade County. She married Donald Hubatch. The couple later divorced and he preceded her in death. She later married William Holbrook and he preceded her in death. Mary was a graduate of Antigo High School. She worked for Weinbrenner Shoe Factory, waitressed at the Gold Coast and owned and operated Mary's Welcome Inn. She later attended Northcentral Technical College becoming a certified nursing assistant and worked at Eastview Medical and Rehabilitation Center and provided home healthcare. She enjoyed sewing, knitting and playing cards. She was an avid Atlanta Braves fan and she also happened to be the first woman to compete in the Langlade County 4-H Fair's Demolition Derby. Survivors include 4 daughters, Judy (Paul) Shelton of Jenkinsville, SC, Jenny (Joel) King of Neenah, Christine (Brad) Hitz of Antigo and Holly (Neil) Anderson of Antigo; brothers and sisters; 12 grandchildren, Jessica and Karen Shelton, Jason (Jennifer) King, Jared King, Aaron and Tenley Hitz, Burgandy, Brandon, and Blake Brockman, Brennen, Bradynn, and Brady Anderson; 4 great grandchildren, Ava, Dylan, Jenna and Justin; and her special friend Demaine Noskowiak.
