Mary Jane Mckinney

Mary Jane McKinney of Antigo died Wednesday morning, June 8, 2016 at Aspirus Langlade Hospital at the age of 78, following a recent stroke. Mary Jane was born on September 28, 1937 in Two Rivers, Wisconsin to the late Edgar and Carolyn (Jenkins) Gesell. She graduated from Antigo High School in 1956. On February 4, 1961, Mary Jane was united in marriage to Eugene "Gene" McKinney at Peace Lutheran Church. Before her marriage, Mary Jane worked in the offices of Dr. Garbisch and Dr. Kosterman. Following her marriage, she was a homemaker. Mary Jane is survived by a son, Jeff of Post Lake; three sister-in-laws, Marie Gesell, Pat McKinney Rice, and Joyce Matthews all of Antigo; many nieces and nephews; and her canine family. In addition to her parents, Mary Jane was preceded in death by her husband, Gene, and three brothers, Charles Seitz, Richard Gesell, and Edward Gesell. A visitation will take place Sunday from 4:00-6:00 p.m. and Monday from 10:00-11:00 a.m. at Strasser-Roller Funeral Home followed by funeral service at 11:00 a.m. also at Strasser-Roller Funeral Home.
