Mary Moore

Mary Grace Moore, age 79, of Pelican Lake passed away peacefully Thursday, December 9, 2021 at Hospice House in Wausau with her husband, Chuck at her side. Mary was born December 6, 1942 in Chicago to the late Louis and Katherine (Grahm) Rothbauer. On December 1, 1962 she was united in marriage to Charles “Chuck” Moore in River Falls, WI. Mary was a graduate of St. Scholastica class of 1961. She went on to attend a junior college and UW- River Falls. She and Chuck raised their family in Green Bay where Mary also worked as an ob-gyn receptionist at Bellin Hospital. Upon retirement the couple moved to Pelican Lake. Mary was a member of St. John Catholic Church in Pelican Lake and was active in the Elcho community, serving on the Elcho School Board, volunteering at the food pantry and Pelican Lake Little League. She loved the Packers, Brett Favre, and Tim McGraw. Her greatest love was for her children, grandchildren, great grandchildren, and her husband Chuck. In addition to her husband, survivors include 2 daughters: Katie (Gene) Bates of New Carlisle, IN, Michele (Brian) Reiels of Thiensville, WI, 3 sons: Charles, Jr. (Michelle) of Pelican Lake, Jeffrey (Jana) of Madison, Mark (Dawn) of Green Bay, 12 grandchildren: Mollie (Kyle), Sarah, Erin, Collin, Tyler, Lindsey, Grace, Natalie, Erika, Robert, Dylan, Emily, great grandchildren: Oliver, Charlie, Braeden, 2 sisters: Patricia (Bob) Fittshur, Louise (Mark) Whipp, a brother John (Lynn) Rothbauer, many nieces and nephews, and many great nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Mary was preceded in death by 2 brothers: Jimmy Rothbauer and Dan Rothbauer. A memorial mass will be held on Monday, December 20 at noon at St. John Catholic Church in Pelican Lake. Father Chris Kemp will officiate. Visitation will precede the mass at church from 10:00 am until the service. In Lieu of flowers, memorials in Mary's name may be directed to the Pelican Lake Baseball Booster.
