Melissa Lynne McCarthy

Melissa Lynne McCarthy of Antigo, formerly of Milwaukee, passed away on May 6, 2026 at Aspirus Langlade Hospital. She was 56 years old. Melissa was born on August 19, 1969 in Milwaukee to Lynn (McCarthy) Wineland and the late James P. “Mac” McCarthy. She was united in marriage to Randy Markgraf on December 31, 2025.

Melissa graduated college with a bachelor’s degree and went on to work as a data analyst for Arthur J. Gallagher. She loved the outdoors. She especially enjoyed camping and riding side by side. She also enjoyed traveling and attending concerts.

In addition to her husband and mom, Melissa is survived by a son Dan Pless (Gracie), stepfather Don Wineland, stepsons Isaac and Chase Jansen, sister Jennifer McCarthy, niece Katrina McCarthy, nephew Austin Blasius, and step sister Jillian Wineland (Chris). She is also survived by many friends who will miss her dearly.

A celebration of life will be planned for a later date.
