Merlene Babler

Merlene Babler, age 89, of Antigo, formerly of Bryant, died Tuesday, October 9, 2017 at her home. Merlene was born on September 22, 1928 in Bryant to the late Francis and Winefred (Trensatiske) Jones. She was united in marriage to Eugene Babler in June of 1948. He preceded her in death on August 18, 1968. Merlene was a graduate of Antigo High School class of 1946. She was a lifelong resident of the area. Merlene worked at Kraft Foods for many years and was a homemaker. Survivors include 2 sons, Jerry (Cheri) Babler of Smithfield, VA and Randy (Jane) Babler of Bryant, 6 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren, and a brother Earl Jones of Eagle River. In addition to her parents and husband, Merlene was preceded in death by 3 brothers, Frank, Edward and Jim. In accordance with her wishes, no services will be held.
