Michael "Mickey" Bennetts

Michael "Mickey" Bennetts, of Elcho, died at Langlade Hospital On Thursday, April 25, 2013 under the care of LeRoyer Hospice. He was born July 13, 1941 in Antigo. He was raised in Elcho by his foster mother, Helen Flood and their family. He was a graduate of Elcho High School. He married Susan Breen on June 16, 1994. She survives and resides in Elcho. Mr. Bennetts was a proud veteran of the US Air Force. He was employed by General Motors, working as a team leader in the paint department of the GM plant in Arlington, Texas. After retirement, he moved back to Elcho, where he became supervisor of the town's recycling center. He made many friends through his employment for the Town of Elcho, and became well-known and well-liked by many of the residents who used the facility. He loved fishing and spending time with his wife, Susan. He was preceded in death by his foster mother, Helen Flood; a sister, Nan McBrayer; and a brother, Buzz Bennetts. In accordance with Mickey's wishes, no services will be held.
