Michael Thomas Tautges, age 72, of Antigo died February 9, 2016 at Aspirus Langlade Hospital under the care of LeRoyer Hospice. Michael was born October 13, 1943 to the late Anton and Beulah (Meverden) Tautges in Aniwa. He was united in marriage to Anna Clara Danicyzk on September 14, 1963 at St. Florian's Catholic Church in Hatley. She survives. Michael was employed at the lumber mill in Hatley in his younger years. He then drove a milk truck for a period of time. He went on to work for Murray Machinery as machinist and then worked for Wetterau Wood Products. He was a lifelong resident of the area. He enjoyed working in the woods, hunting, welding and fabricating, caring for his cows. Survivors in addition to his wife, Anna, suvivors include a daughter; Lisa Marie (Sergio Matheu) Blanchard of Green Bay; 2 sons, Thomas Michael (Deborah Ann) Tautges of Lakewood, WA, Eugene James (Cheryl Wenzel) Tautges of Wausau; 8 grandchildren Nicki (Tim) Davis, Janie O'Lague, Amanda Marie Ann McKey of Lakewood, WA, Jessica (Davonte) King of Green Bay, Allen (Chris) Moore of Rhinelander, Amanda, Renee and Stephanie Wenzel all of Wausau; 8 great grandchildren, Kimo, Jade, Davonte Jr., Amarah, Nevaeh, Blayze, Bentley and Giovanni; 4 sisters, Dorothy Fredrickson, Mary Deisinger and Beradine (Gary) Seefeldt all of Antigo, and Rosalie (Gerald) Ziegelbauer of Birnamwood. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother James and a sister in infancy, Emma Jean. Funeral services will be held on Saturday at 2:00 PM at Strasser-Roller Funeral Home. Randy Geary will officiate. Visitation will be Saturday at the funeral home from 12:30 until the service. Interment will be in Aniwa Catholic Cemetery.
