Michael Vernon Strasser

December 15, 1947 – October 21, 2023

Michael “Mike” Vernon Strasser, age 75 of Deerbrook, Wisconsin, passed away at home where he always wanted to be on Saturday October 21, 2023.

Mike was a proud Vietnam Veteran who loved his country. He was a friend to all mankind, whether you liked him or not. Mike enjoyed hunting, fishing, and spending time with family. He enjoyed the outdoors, and feeding the squirrels, chipmunks, and birds while he spent time looking at the flowers in his yard.

Mike loved talking with others, especially reminiscing about times with Grandpa Joe, and he loved looking at the old cottage that was once a tavern.

Mike had a knack for making birthdays and holidays special by calling on the phone and singing a song or leaving a voicemail message with a song for you, letting you know he was thinking about you.

You especially knew you were loved when Mike gave you a nickname. Mouse, Grunt, Fuzz butt, Paw Paw, Albert Einstein, and Taco, just to name some of the many he had for those he loved.

Mike is survived by his wife Christine A. (Rangle) Strasser, daughter Tracy Carter, daughter Maria Rangle (Al Foskett), son David Rangle, Becky, daughter Susan Strasser (Carl Croteau), daughter Holly Strasser-Micke as well as many grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, beloved pets Shadow and Grace.

Mike is preceded in death by his father Vernon Strasser, mother Dorothy Strasser, sister Billie Kriesel, sister Nancy Shover, and daughter TobyAnn Strasser.

He will be sadly missed by all.

Memorial Services will be held at a later date.
