Nancy L. Tews

Nancy L. Tews, age 77, died Friday, August 18, 2023, at her home under the care of LeRoyer Hospice and her family.

Nancy was born July 16, 1946 in Antigo to the late Robert and Jane (Masse) DeBrucq.

She attended Antigo High School. On February 11, 1963, she was united in marriage to Wayne Tews and they were blessed to celebrate their 60th wedding anniversary this year.

Nancy worked in area restaurants and factories in her early working years and later became a certified nursing assistant, a job that she found greatly rewarding. She ended her career working at Goodwill, which she also enjoyed very much.

Nancy was an animal lover, especially horses. She was a talented artist, and especially enjoyed drawing. She was very close to her family and cherished her time with her granddaughter, Haley.

Survivors in addition to her husband Wayne, include a daughter Kelly (Sean) Novak, a granddaughter Haley Novak, a sister Mary Lynne (Bill) Hull, a brother-in-law Richard Tews, and many nieces and nephews.

Nancy was preceded in death by two sisters and their husbands: Gail and her husband Dick Gumness and Pat and her husband Joe Grall, brothers-in-law and their wives: Jerry and Mary Tews and Carol and Nick Chronis, and a nephew Robert Hull.

The family wishes to extend their deepest gratitude to the staff of LeRoyer Hospice for their loving care.

A private graveside service will be held.
