Norman J. Marvin, age 85, of Antigo died Thursday at Care Partners Assisted Living.Norman was born on August 14, 1925 in Crandon, WI to the late Roy and Julia (Jicha) Marvin. On May 8, 1948 he married Marion Goodwill in Antigo. She survives.Mr. Marvin graduated from Antigo High School. He served in the US Navy from 1943-1946. He was a seaman 1st class. Mr. Marvin worked as a truck driver. He was employed by Duffek Sand & Gravel for 20 years. He also managed the Antigo American Legion Hall for many years.Norman loved the outdoors; hunting, fishing, golfing, and snowmobiling.In addition to his wife, Mr. Marvin is survived by 3 daughters; Dawn Wild (Fiance James De Jong) of Antigo, Barbara (Ranier) Belott of Milwaukee, and Debora (David) Slater of Antigo; 2 sons; Timothy (Kay) Marvin of Antigo and Peter Marvin of Antigo; 12 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren; a sister Carol (Richard) Hoffmeister of Antigo; a sister-in-law Phyliss Marvin of Antigo; brothers Robert (Marge) Marvin and Ken (Erla) Marvin both of Antigo and a brother-in-law Chester Steinbach of Antigo.Norman was preceded in death by a sister Jane Huhn; brother-in-law Jim Huhn; 2 brothers Michael and Jerome Marvin; 3 sister-in-laws Marilyn "Corky" Steinbach, Laurabel Williams and Joann Hille; and a son-in-law Floyd Wild.Visitation will be from 10:00 AM until the service at the funeral home. Interment will be in Elmwood Cemetery. Antigo veterans will conduct military rites following the committal service at the cemetery.In lieu of flowers, a memorial will be established in Mr. Marvin's name.
