Patricia Hansen, of Polar, moved from her earthly home to her heavenly home on Friday, October 12, 2012 at Aspirus Wausau Hospital. She was surrounded by her family as she passed away, and she reassured them that she loved each of them. She was born March 10, 1944 in San Francisco, CA, daughter of the late Richard Wallace, Sr. and Martha Jane (Shields) Wallace. She moved to Waukegan, IL when she was four and resided there through her high school years. She married Ronald Hansen on October 7, 1960 in Zion, IL. They moved to Polar and enjoyed 52 years of marriage together. Mrs. Hansen was employed at Kmart, Johnson Electric Coil, and Polar Sawmill. She was also skilled at tying flies, and worked at the craft for many years for Sheldon's. She was a great cook, and will be especially remembered for her homemade pickles and noodles. She was a member of Four Corners Assembly of God Church, where she shared her talents as an expression of her love for God and her church family. She served as a Sunday School teacher, youth leader, secretary/treasurer of the congregation, and organist. She also meticulously prepared the church bulletin, and worked in the church kitchen. In addition to her husband, she is survived by a daughter, Dianne (Randy) Fritsch of Neva; a son, Rodger (Robin) Hansen of Pleasant Prairie; 7 siblings, Jane Gearhart of Iowa, Richard (Charlotte) Wallace of Illinois, Fred (Judy) Wallace of Massachusetts, Rachel (Jim) Marshall of Kentucky, Leah (Jim) Jester of South Dakota, Deb (David) Christensen of Racine, and Galen Wallace of Illinois; 4 grandchildren, Dori (Randy) Howard, RyAnn (Ryan) Filbrandt, Zachary Hansen, and Joshua Hansen; and 4 great-grandchildren, Nathan, Kaelee, Brandi, and Nicholas Howard. A memorial service will take place at 11:30 A.M. Monday at Four Corners Assembly of God Church, with Rev. Marvin Kindle officiating. Visitation will be 9:30-11:30 Monday at the church. Burial will follow the service at Town of Polar Cemetery. The most important thing in Pat's life was to spread her love for the Lord. She passed away knowing that there will be a great reunion in Heaven.
