Patricia L. Venn

Patricia L. Venn, age 89, of Evanston, IL and formerly of Elcho, WI died Wednesday, September 20, 2017 in Evanston. Patricia was born on January 6, 1928 in Tomahawk to the late Ernest and Irma (Heath) Lavers. She was united in marriage to Raymond W. Venn on July 22, 1950. Raymond preceded her in death on February 7, 1987. Patricia was a graduate of Tomahawk High School and Stevens Point Teachers College. She enjoyed sewing, tailoring, traveling, music, singing in the choir and being at Post Lake. Patricia was a home economics teacher in Elcho and Evanston. She was also a homemaker. Later in her career, she tutored and taught reading and English as a second language in Skokie, IL. She was formerly a member of United Church of Christ in Elcho and was most recently a member of Evanshire Presbyterian Church in Skokie. Survivors include 2 sons, Raymond (Linda) of Fitchburg, WI and Michael (Diane) of Kohler, 5 grandchildren, Kathleen, Carolyn, Christina, Nicholas and Raymond. In addition to her parents and husband, Patricia was preceded in death by a sister Marilyn Boyle. A graveside service will be held on Monday at 11:00 a.m. at Elcho Cemetery, with Rev. Dana Schindler officiating.
