Patricia Ann Peterson, age 92, of Antigo passed away Sunday, June 28, 2026 under the care of her family and LeRoyer Hospice.
Pat was born April 29, 1934 in Green Bay to the late Rudoph and Ida (Elbe) Leschke.
She was a graduate of Denmark High School and went on to complete her nurses training at Theda Clark in Neenah in 1954.
Pat was united in marriage to Dale Peterson on June 11, 1955 in Denmark, WI.
Pat worked at Winnebago Mental Health Institute, Bellin Memorial Hospital, Lanesboro Nursing Home in Minnesota, Langlade Memorial Hospital and Eastview Medical and Rehabilitation Center. She was instrumental in establishing LeRoyer Hospice.
Pat and Dale moved to Canton, MN, residing there from 1955 until 1958 at which time they moved to Antigo, making it their home and raising their family there.
Pat was a member of the Calvary Lutheran Church where she served the church in many ways, including helping with funeral dinners, the Christmas Bazaar and quilting.
Pat and Dale were instrumental in the operations of Kettelbowl Ski Hill. They enjoyed there time at the hill, making it a place of fun for all.
Pat lived an active and fulfilling life. She was a member of Well Fit, played bridge, golfed and most importantly enjoyed a life of meaningful friendships and a loving family.
Survivors in addition to her husband Dale include her children: Scot (Joanie) Peterson of Antigo, Kim (Larry) McCann of Antigo, Jay (Joanne) Peterson of Merrill, and Polly (Joel) Trandahl of Corcoran, MN, grandchildren: Kelci (Andrew) Seaman, Nicholas Peterson, Maggie (Jed) Weix, Julia (Andy) Johnson, Heidi (fiancé Ty), Nels, and Jay Trandahl, Mandie (David) Menzer, Brian (Amy) Bauknecht, and Mike (Shellee) Bauknecht, 9 great grandchildren, and a brother James (Janice) Leschke of Rhinelander.
In addition to her parents, Pat was preceded in death by a sister Susan Streufert and a brother Gerald Leschke.
A memorial service will be held on Thursday at 11:00 AM at Calvary Lutheran Church. Reverend Jennifer Sosinske will officiate. Visitation will be from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM on Thursday at the church.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial will be established in Pat’s name.
