Pauline Arrowood, 89, of Wausau and formerly of Lily, died Sun., Jan. 25 at St. Clare's Hospital, Weston. She was born Aug. 30, 1919 in Elton, daughter of the late Willis and Edna (Hay) Clark. She married Bradley Arrowood on May 26, 1942 in Little Rock, AR, and he preceded her in death on June 14, 1995.Mrs. Arrowood graduated from White Lake High School in 1938, and graduated from Langlade County Normal School in 1940. She was a teacher at Washington School in Elton from 1940-1942, Hollister School from 1949-1952, and Lily Graded School from 1968 until her retirement. When not teaching full time, she worked as a substitute teacher.In addition to teaching, she operated a dairy farm with her husband in Lily until retirement in 1988.She was a member of the Ohio Valley Baptist Church of Franklin Furnace, OH. Mrs. Arrowood's family was very special for her, and she will be remembered for taking care of others. She was a good baker and cook, and her donuts were especially delicious. She also enjoyed reading, crossword puzzles, and quilting.She is survived by 3 daughters, Barbara Marti (special friend Bill Juhnke) of Pine Island, MN, Janet (Scott) Williams of Wausau, and Jane Jerzak (special friend Jim Wertman) of Ohio; a son, Doran (Nancy) of Pickerel; brother, Lyman Clark (special friend Barbara Stephenson) of La Mirada, CA; sister in law, Beth Clark of Salem, OR; 14 grandchildren; 25 great grandchildren; and 2 great great grandchildren.In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by 5 brothers: Buford, Willis, Jr., Duane, Larry, and Garry; 1 sister, Martha Jean; a great grandson Brandon; daughter in law Gayle Arrowood; and son in law Dan Marti.
