Rachel Turner, of White Lake, died Thursday as a result of a traffic accident in Waupaca County. She was 18. She was born Aug. 16, 1990 in Antigo, the daughter of Thomas Turner and Danna (DeHart) Emerich. She was a 2008 graduate of White Lake High School.Rachel was a student at Northcentral Technical College in Wausau, and she worked as a certified nursing assistant at Eastview Medical and Rehab Center. She enjoyed singing, and was a fun person who loved her family and friends. She was a member of the Apostolic Worship Center in Elton.Survivors include her mother, Danna (Alex) Emerich; father, Thomas (Heather) Turner; 4 sisters, Brianna and Elizabeth Schultz of White Lake, and Ashley Volpentesta and Shara Turner of Antigo; 6 brothers, James Turner, Jonathan Schultz, Justin Emerich all of White Lake, Alexander Turner, Tyler Turner, Jordin Turner, all of Antigo; maternal grandparents Cecil and Janie Holbrook of White Lake; paternal grandmother Carol Turner of Antigo; paternal grandparents Larry and Judy Schultz of Antigo; paternal grandmother LaVerne Emerich; maternal great grandmother Pearl Holbrook of White Lake; special friend Nick Rageth of Oshkosh; aunts and uncles, Missy (Daymion) Smith of Menasha, Shelly (Robert) Strong of White Lake, Mike Holbrook of White Lake, BJ Holbrook of White Lake, James Turner of Illinois, Brent (Sherry) Schultz of Antigo. She is preceded in death by stepfather, Brian Schultz; and 2 grandfathers, Paul Turner and Dan DeHart.As a tribute to Rachel's generous and loving spirit, she will live on through her gift of organ and tissue donation.Rachel will be remembered as a best friend to many. Her infectious smile and happiness will remain in our hearts forever.
