Randolph "Randy" Malueg

Randolph “Randy” Malueg, lifelong resident of Antigo, passed away on February 18, 2021 at his residence under the care of his family and LeRoyer Hospice. He was 67 years old. Randy was born in Wisconsin on December 3, 1953 to the late Merlyn and Elizabeth (Gallion) Malueg. Merlyn and Elizabeth raised their family in Pearson, WI. Randy served in the USMC, as did his brothers who fought in the Vietnam War. He was honorably discharged as Lance Corporal. Randy then went on to work as a logger, always with his dog Husky by his side. He was an outdoorsman, spending his time fishing and hunting. He had a great love for his dogs and cats. Randy is survived by his lifelong partner Christine Rhode-Malueg of Antigo, children; Brandon Rhode-Malueg of Pickerel, Victor Rhode-Malueg of Antigo, Joshua Rhode-Malueg of Antigo, Nicole Rhode Dvorak of Crandon, and Kevin James (Alicia) Rhode of Arizona, brothers; Merlin (Sharon) Malueg of Neva, Bruce Malueg of Deerbrook, and Dave (Jewel) Malueg of Aniwa, sisters; Sherry Malueg of Phlox and Rita Schuster of Sturgeon Bay, grandchildren; Colton, Alexis, Courtney, Aaliah, Knolan, Taylor, Kylie, Gregory “Cruz” and Shantel “Shantelly Lace”, brother-in-law; DuWayne Smith of Antigo, beloved cat; Tiger, and beloved dog; Gunner. In addition to his parents, Randy was preceded in death by sisters; Georgie Malueg and Margaret Haase-Malueg, brother; Michael Malueg who lost his life serving in Vietnam, and brother-in-law; Dick Schuester. Randy’s sister Sandra Smith followed him in death on February 19, 2021. A memorial service for Randy and a Funeral service for his sister Sandra will be held on Friday, February 26, 2021 at 1:00 PM at Strasser-Roller Funeral Home with Pastor Spaude officiating. Visitation for the two will take place on Friday from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the funeral home.
