Raymond E. Davis

Raymond E. Davis went to the loving arms of Jesus on May 20, 2010, at the age of 76, after a short battle with cancer. He was blessed to pass away at home under the loving care of his family and LeRoyer Hospice.He was born Jan. 3, 1934 in Wellsville, OH, son of the late Howard and Loyola (Nelson) Davis. On Oct. 19, 1957, he married Lyda Mae Messer at Four Corners Church in Elton. She survives and lives in Antigo. Raymond was a construction worker and also drove trucks for area potato growers. He also served in the Korean War as a frontline medic.Raymond enjoyed hunting, and also owned a hobby farm. He was always on a new business adventure. He had a very good sense of humor, and could always make us laugh. He had a lot of family and friends he enjoyed spending time with.Raymond attended Four Corners Assembly of God Church.Survivors, in addition to his wife, include: 7 children, Randy (Barb) Davis of Hortonville, Cindy (Terry) Duncan of Antigo, Don Davis (special friend Kaye Marshall) of Tampa, FL, Vince Davis of Antigo, Vanessa (Dave) Randl of Antigo, Darwin (Sheila) Davis of Antigo, Dawn (Dave) Dieck of Aniwa; a sister, Mary Lou Halfhill, of Ohio; a brother, Don Davis, of Ohio; 21 grandchildren, Kirsten (Louie), Joey, Randi Lynn (Jaime), Lyda Rae, Robbie (Chrissy), Tara, Tim (Shannon), Don (Aradhana), Erin, Dusty, Dallas (Alisha), Dovey, Destiny, Heidi, Chantel, Tyler, Alex, Maisey, Darwin, Nicole (Ramiro), and Jennifer; 15 great-grandchildren, Kaylee, Sara, Joette, Shelbi, Lykita, Jaimito, Tatiana, Kolten, Kylee, Derek, Alexis, Jada, Liliana, Nicolas, Natalia; and many nieces and nephews.He was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Vivian; and 2 brothers, George and Bob.He will be sadly missed, always loved and never forgotten.
