Richard Troemel

Richard "Richie" John Troemel, 63, of White Lake died December 24, at his home.Richard was born March 12, 1945 to the late John L. Troemel and Eileen (Harms) Troemel in Pewaukee, WI.On October 30, 1999 he married Jacqulyn Harvey at Hope Presbyterian Church in White Lake. She survives. Mr. Troemel worked as a master electrician. He was also a wonderful husband, father and "chauffeur". Richard was a graduate of Waukesha High School. He served in the US Army Special Forces during Vietnam. Upon returning from his service, Mr. Troemel moved to White Lake where he raised his family. He was a member of Hope Presbyterian Church of White Lake, a member of the American Legion and a former commander, a member of the VFW , served on the White Lake Board of Education as president. As a volunteer on the White Lake Fire Department, he was awarded special commendation for saving a life. Richard was also a volunteer for the Republican Party in the John McCain Presidential Campaign.Survivors in addition to his wife include 2 daughters; Barbara (Bill) Pomasl of White Lake, Linda (Bruce) Gilbertson of Wittenberg, 4 sons John ( Krista) Troemel of Rothschild, Lee Marshall Troemel of the US Navy stationed at Goose Creek, South Carolina, Nikoli Marshall Troemel of White Lake, Brandon Marshall Troemel of White Lake, 10 grandchildren whose names were remember by use of the special phrase " can I race a Harley", and 5 great grandchildren, 3 sisters Patricia Goetsch of Waukesha, Lesa (Bill) Bunce of Pewaukee, and Tina Tatum of California, his baby brother Greg (Anne) Troemel of Waukesha. Mr. Troemel was prededed in death by his parents and a sister Kathy Durand.Funeral service will be 12:00 noon on Saturday at Hope Presbyterian Church in White Lake. Visitation will be from 10:00 AM until the service at the church. Rev. George Buchanan will officiate. Veterans will stand honor guard from 11:00 until service at the church and there will be military rites following the service at the church.
