Rita Margaret Utnehmer, of Antigo, died Wednesday, July 17, 2019 at Rosalia Gardens under the care of her family and LeRoyer Hospice. She was 87 years old. A lifelong Antigo resident, she was born February 23, 1932, daughter of the late Joseph and Margaret (Manthey) Rath. She married William Utnehmer on March 10, 1979, and he survives. She graduated from Antigo High School with the class of 1950. She was employed as a waitress at area supper clubs. She was involved in the community through her volunteer work at Pine Meadow and AVAIL. Rita had a passion for travel, and she also enjoyed reading and taking walks. In addition to her husband, survivors include 3 daughters, Lori (Kelly) Fermanich of Fitchburg, Maria (John) Marzitelli of White Bear Lake, MN, and Joelyn Crum of St. Paul, MN; 4 sons, Joseph (Elizabeth) Crum of White Lake, Kevin Crum of Antigo, David Crum of San Diego, CA, and Michael Crum of Washington State; 3 stepdaughters, Gwen Utnehmer of Antigo, Jean Brandt of Duluth, MN, and Janie Utnehmer of Milwaukee; 3 stepsons, Roger (Karen) Utnehmer of Wausau, Patrick (Bonnie) Utnehmer of Temecula, CA, and Billy (Marie) Utnehmer of Sonoma, CA; 14 grandchildren; and 3 great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Markie; a grandson, Patrick; and a stepdaughter, Peggy. The family will hold a private service in remembrance of Rita.
