Robert “Bob” Fryman of Antigo passed away on April 16, 2021 at the age of 90 under the care of his family and LeRoyer Hospice. Bob was born on July 7, 1930 in Illinois to the late Ernest and Beaulah (Hurt) Fryman. Bob worked as a dairy farmer prior to being drafted to the Korean War on September 13, 1951. He served in the US Army for 2 years. While he didn’t make it to Korea, he was sent on special missions in both Greenland and Newfoundland to build Ernest Harmon Airforce Base. There he lived on a ship doing sheet metal work. After serving, he worked in furnace repair and installation, owning his own business which he ran for over 30 years, Forest Heating and Sheet Metal in Laona. In 1993 he was united in marriage to Eileen Ehrhardt. She survives. In his younger years, Bob enjoyed snowmobiling and fishing. He was an excellent fisherman and was even able to catch fish by letting them swim into his hands. He had a dream of one day living on a lake and he made that dream come true by building his home on Ada Lake. He most enjoyed spending his time there with his family and friends, especially his grandchildren and great grandchildren. He loved sitting by the fire and listening to the loons, welcoming everyone with open arms. He also enjoyed spending his time with “The Coffee Clutchers”; Lloyd Fulcer, Rod Rummel, Arnie Treml, Lanny Lafferty, Music Man, Jim Babe, and Fred Alderton. In addition to his wife, Bob is survived by sons; Earl (Linda) Fryman of Oakfield, Keith (Teresa) Fryman of Fort Atkinson, Phil (Kathy) Fryman of Appleton, and Brian (Linda) Fryman of Menasha, daughter; Robin Fryman of Fond du Lac, Rebecca (Scott) Marshall Lafferty of Laona and Robin (Glenn) Cole of Radcliff KY, sisters; Nona Emmerson of Peoria, IL and Doris Fryman of Fond du Lac, brothers; John Fryman of Eldorado and David “Milt” Fryman Wichita, KS. He is also survived by over 30 grandchildren and many great-grandchildren. In addition to his parents, Bob was preceded in death by a son; Les Fryman, daughter; Sally Ann Fryman, brother; Paulie Fryman, mother and father in-law; Joyce and Howard Ehrhardt, brother-in-law; Paul Emmerson, and daughter-in-law Phyllis Fryman.
