Robert "Bob" Mccormick

Robert “Bob” McCormick passed away peacefully on December 17, 2021 at the age of 83. Bob was born on May 3, 1938 to the late Francis and Viola (Sheldon) McCormick. On March 17, 1960, he was united in marriage to Judith Marie Ehlers in Syracuse, NY. Bob graduated from Antigo High School, after graduation he served in the United States Air Force in remote Alaska. After 4 years in the Airforce, he came back to Antigo and got into the Insurance business and eventually was owner of McCormick Klessig Insurance Agency. From there he continued on to own Twentieth Century Foods which consisted of several restaurants, hotels and radio stations throughout the state of Wisconsin. He contributed greatly to the Antigo community and Langlade County. He was a member of the Antigo Elks Club, Bass Lake Country Club, Antigo Methodist Church, and an avid golfer and outdoorsman. In addition to his wife, Judy, Bob is survived by children; Scott (Kris) McCormick and Shane (Stephanie) McCormick, grandchildren; Max (Alexis) McCormick, Abby McCormick (Jordan Bardwell), Sam McCormick, Zachary Berhow, Kasey McCormick, and Lucas McCormick, brother in laws, Mike (Cathy) Hubatch, Arliss Strobel, nieces, and nephews. In addition to his parents, Bob was preceded in death by sister, Collette Strobel, brother, Stephen McCormick, sister-in-law Phylis (Ehlers) Hubatch and brother-in-law Paul Ehlers. In accordance with Bob’s wishes, private services are being scheduled. In leu of flowers the family has set up a memorial fund in Bob’s honor at The Antigo Elks Club. Bob was dedicated to serving his community especially through the Antigo Elk’s Club. In his honor, the Elk’s club will also be hosting a golf outing where proceeds will establish a scholarship.
