Robert D. " Dean" Lewis, age 73, of Elton died Thursday at his home. Mr. Lewis was born January 18, 1940 in Scioto County, Ohio to the late Raymond and Doris (Gilliam) Lewis. On January 7, 1964 he was united in marriage to Gale Christine Robinson. He served in the US Air Force as a photographer during the Cuban Missile Crisis. He then worked as a civilian doing charts and maps. He lived in St. Louis, MO for several years while working for the Aeronautical Chart and Information Center. He later returned to Wisconsin and was employed at Kohler Company. He enjoyed motorcycling, fishing, and his canine companions. In addition to his wife, Mr. Lewis is survived by a son Robert Lewis, Jr. of Elton, 3 brothers; Joseph Dale (Sandy) of Elton, Douglas (Kay) of South Carolina, and Darrell (Florence) of Argonne, WI. He was preceded in death by his parents, a son David, and a brother Dallas. The family will be having a celebration of Mr. Lewis's life Saturday, May 11, at 2:00PM at their home. Strasser-Roller Funeral Home is assisting the family.
