Ronald Lee Uelmen

Ronald Lee Uelmen, age 77, died at his home Thursday, August 10, 2023.

Ronald was born on August 10, 1946 in Antigo to the late Louis John, Sr, and Gretchen Ann (Bretl) Uelmen.

He attended St. John Grade School, was a graduate of Antigo High School, and attended U-W River Falls. Ronald served two years in the US Army.

He was an avid horseman, involved in horse racing locally and throughout the U.S. and Canada. He enjoyed the outdoors, hunting and fishing. His circle of friends included fellow fishermen and hunters.

Survivors include a sister Susan Uelmen of Wheeling, IL, brothers: Louis John Jr. “Bud” (Nancy) Uelmen of Antigo, Pat Uelmen of MI, a sister-in-law Ginny Uelman, nieces and nephews; Jason, Katie, Nicholas, Gretchen, Lauren, Bill, Linda, Tom, and many great nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, Rondald was preceded in death by a brother Larry Uelmen and a nephew Richie Uelmen.

The family will be planning a private memorial gathering.
