Ronald Peter Hansen, age 81, of Polar went to his eternal home Thursday, September 30, 2021 Ron was born February 29, 1940 in Polar to the late Hans and Bertella (Ayers) Hansen. He was united in marriage to Patricia “Pat” Wallace on October 7, 1960 in Zion, Il. Pat preceded him in death on October 12, 2012. On December 7, 2013, Ron married Mary Eldridge. She survives and resides in Polar. Ron was a graduate of Antigo High School class of 1958. He was employed at Langlade Memorial Hospital for many years. He then worked for Amron, Corporation from 1970 until his retirement in 1988. Ron was a member of Four Corners Assembly of God Church in White Lake. He served as a deacon and music leader at the church. His dedication to the church and his service to the Lord through music was a calling that Ron lived out. He was a member of the Gospel Starliters and spearheaded the 5th Sunday Singspiration. Ron was musically talented and had the gift of writing songs and poems. Christmas cards from the Hansen family were always homemade and contained a poem written by Ron. His sense of humor brought smiles and laughter to friends and family even while his health declined. Ron’s kindness and Christian heart were recognized by others, as he was often sought out for guidance and support by people in need. Ron loved and was loved by children as well. Survivors in addition to his wife include his children: Dianne (Randy) Fritsch and Rodger (Denise) Hansen both of Antigo, five stepchildren: Sonya (Jeff) Lusk, Damon Mize, Charity (Travis) VanNorstan, Alicia Soto, Jacquelyn Mize, grandchildren: Dori Howard, Ryann (Ryan) Filbrandt, Zach (Ashley) Hansen, Josh Hansen, step grandchildren: Seth, Josh, Emma, great grandchildren: Nate, Kaelee, Brandi, Nick, Bethany, Luella, great great granddaughter: Daisy, Mary’s 18 grandchildren, 3 sisters: Karen (Dave) Staub of Green Bay, Patsy (Mike) Mandli of Racine, Luann (Lance) Peters of White Lake, and “adopted brother” Jim Hansen of Chicago. In addition to his parents and wife, Pat, Ron was preceded in death by a sister Emily Fofrich. A memorial service will be held on Tuesday at 12:00 pm at Four Corners Assembly of God Church in White Lake. Reverend Marvin Kindle will officiate. Visitation will be from 10:OO am until the service at the church. Strasser-Roller Funeral Home is assisting the family.
