Ronald "Ron" Joseph Debroux

Ronald "Ron" Joseph DeBroux, of 717 Maple Street, Antigo, WI died Saturday, April 6, 2013 at the age of 72. He was born November 7, 1940 in Shawano, WI, son of the late Adolph and Arlene (VanderHeyden) DeBroux. He graduated from Antigo High School in 1958. He worked for Bernard Lindsay Painting from April, 1959 until Mr. Lindsay died in 1974. Ron then took over the business as DeBroux Decorating until poor health caused him to retire in 1999. He belonged to the Antigo National Guard Unit. He enjoyed playing cards, games, and attending Men's Bible study. He attended Antigo Community Church. He married Christine Hull on April 21, 1965 in Antigo, WI. She survives. In addition to his wife, he is survived by 5 children, Rhonda (Troy) Trull of Antigo, Darron (Melissa Ross) DeBroux, Dale (Tina Rice) DeBroux of Deerbrook, Dean (Elizabeth) of Monroe, GA, and Wayne (Stacey) DeBroux of Neenah, grandchildren, Joshua Trull, James "Jimmy", Alexis, Sidney, Brianna, Ian, Clayton, Brandon, and Logan DeBroux, Lacy Rice, and Crystal and Melanie Ross; a sister, Joan Bellomy of Antigo; and nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; brother-in-law, Dale Bellomy, grand-nephew, Matt Carley; and infant grandson, Devon, son of Wayne and Stacey DeBroux. Funeral services will be held on Friday at 11:00 a.m. at Strasser-Roller Funeral Home, with Rev. Jim Gesell officiating. Visitation will be at the funeral home Thursday from 4:00-7:00 p.m. and Friday from 9:00 a.m. until the time of services.
