Ronnaug Hanna Rustad

Ronnaug Hanna Rustad, age 94, died July 21, 2011 at Langlade Hospital. She was a Norwegian citizen, and a former resident of Mattoon and Antigo. She was born January27, 1917 in Norway. She was employed at Johnson's Cookie Factory in Milwaukee, and also worked as a homemaker. Ms. Rustad was a generous and loving woman who enjoyed giving gifts. She will be remembered for her baking and knitting. She also loved to read and keep up with current events in her home country. She enjoyed walking, which kept her young. She is survived by 2 daughters, Lill-Ann Jorgensen of Denmark; Carol (Randy) Palmer of Mattoon; a son Thore Holm Hansen of Norway; a brother, Olaf (Signe) of Norway; a sister-in-law and close friend, Gunhild Haugen of the Sheboygan area; and 7 grandchildren. She was preceded in death by 2 sisters, Solveig and Hilma, and 3 brothers, Ole, Knut, and Kare. In honoring Ronnaug's wishes, her family will return her ashes to Norway for a memorial service with friends and family.
