Rudolph "Rudy" Hraban, 88, formerly of Antigo, died Thursday at Appleton Medical Center. He had been residing at Wisconsin Veterans Home at King. Rudy was born August 10, 1920 in Tony, WI to the late Charles and Clare (Mechelke) Hraban.On June 15, 1946 he married Harriet Froelch. She preceded him in death April 4, 1996.Mr. Hraban served in the US Army during WWII serving in both European and Pacific Theater and the Battle of the Bulge. He then lived in Illinois and was employed by Sears & Roebuck. In 1946 he moved to Antigo and owned and operated a dairy farm. He enjoyed being outdoors and fishing and hunting.He was a member of the Leland-Tollefson VFW Post 2653 in Antigo.Rudolph is survived by sisters; Pearl Wolfred of Ohio and Phyllis (Warren) Paul of Oak Creek, WI and Donna Lincoln of Waukesha; 2 brothers; Walter (Joyce) Hraban and Charles Hraban both of Ladysmith and also survived by many nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents and wife, Mr. Hraban was preceded in death by 3 sisters; Lucille Kienest, Mildred Potts, and Frances Calloway; 2 brothers; Richard Hraban and an infant brother, Roger.
