Ruth B. Ann Miersch died Sun., May 2, 2010 at Homme Home in Wittenberg, surrounded by her family. She was 95 years old. She was born July 10, 1914 in Antigo, daughter of the late Theodore and Matilda (Vahl) Zemke. She married Carl Miersch on Feb. 4, 1939, and he preceded her in death on July 12, 2001. Mrs. Miersch was a 1932 graduate of Antigo high school, and a lifelong Antigo resident. She was employed at House of Diamonds, Kingsberry Photo, Antigo Café, and Tesch's Supper Club. She belonged to Peace Lutheran Church, where she was a member of the choir and the Dorcas Society. She enjoyed playing bridge and played in the same club from age 18 until she was in her 70s. Survivors include 2 daugters, Carol (Terry) Gray of Brookfield, WI, and Kay Banegas of Mountain View, CA; a son, James (Carol) Miersch of Arlington Heights, IL; a sister, Norma Myers of Milwaukee; a sister-in-law, Mary Ann Zemke of Antigo; 8 grandchildren; and 6 great-grandchildren.In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by brother Albert Zemke, 2 infant brothers, and son-in-law Rafael Banegas.The family of Ruth wishes to extend a heartfelt thank you to the Homme Home staff for their excellent care and the true love and kindness that they showed Ruth over the years
