Ruth L. Mikolajak

Ruth L. Mikolajak, of Elcho, died Saturday, April 23, 2011 at Langlade Hospital. She was a resident of Care Partners, and under the care of LeRoyer Hospice.She was born Jan. 28, 1916, daughter of the late Ole and Marie (Johnson) Tveten. She married Stanley Mikolajak in Milwaukee on May 29, 1942. He preceded her in death on Aug. 12, 1999.A lifelong Elcho resident, she was a homemaker living on the family dairy farm. She was a member or St. Luke Lutheran Church in Elcho, where she was active in the altar guild and ladies aid.Survivors include a son, Donald Mikolajak, of Elcho; 2 sisters, Frances Howe, and Elaine Reynolds; a brother, Dean (Helen) of Somerset; a sister-in-law, Jeanette Tveten of Sister Bay; and many nieces, nephews, and friends.In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by 4 brothers, Douglas, Walter, Gordon, and Charles.
