Sally M. Rasmussen died Feb. 8, 2011 at her home in the town of Norwood. She was 46 years old.She was born Jan. 11, 1965 in Milwaukee, daughter of the Clester and Marie (Ziglinski) Fraley. She married her high school sweetheart, Gerald Rasmussen, on May 9, 1986 in Antigo. He survives.She graduated from Antigo High School in 1983. Mrs. Rasmussen was a gifted homemaker, and will be remembered for her cooking and baking. She was skilled at online sales, working as an ebay merchant. She also had a talent for finding special offers and rebates.She was an intelligent, honest woman with good sense of humor. She was a talented artist in sketching and drawing. Her family will remember her as the "go to" person, and the home base for friends and family. She used her skills to organize people to do good for others, helping organize the penny drive at Crestwood School, where her daughter Lindsay attended. She loved the time spent with Lindsay, and especially liked reading with her. She enjoyed fishing, and especially loved a meal of fresh caught brook trout. She had a gentle nature, and loved animals, especially cats. The springtime was her favorite time of year, and she enjoyed growing flowers and plants. She had a gift for home decorating, and a real flare for style.In addition to her husband, she is survived by a daughter, Lindsay; her mother, Marie Fraley of Antigo; 2 sisters, Judy (David) Kielcheski of Antigo, and Armella Hagenstone of Ft. Wayne, IN; a brother, William Fraley of Antigo; father in law, Richard (Deb) Rasmussen of Merrill; mother in law, Nancy Rasmussen of Antigo; 6 brothers in law, Richard (Irene) Rasmussen of Florida; Donald (Laurie) Rasmussen of Antigo; Bill (Sandy) Rasmussen of Birnamwood, Andy (fiance Karen Walters) of Antigo, Peter (special friend Nicole Duchac) of Antigo, and Ray (Kelly) Rasmussen of Antigo; a sister in law Kathleen (Mike) Shafel of Bryant; a half sister in law, Jenna Rasmussen of Merrill; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.She was preceded in death by her father, Clester Fraley; a brother, Arthur; 2 nieces, Kayla Shafel, and Madyson Kielcheski; brother in law, Bernie Rasmussen; and both maternal and paternal grandparents.A funeral service will take place at 7:00 p.m. Friday at Strasser-Roller Funeral Home, with Rev. Marvin Kindle officiating. Visitation will be 3-7 Friday at the funeral home. A memorial will be established in her name.
